Climate Change and GHG Emissions

EHS is responding to the growing need for technical expertise in the area of Climate Change, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions accounting and Carbon Footprint analysis. Over the past several years, EHS staff has consulted extensively with the federal and provincial governments and the private sector on subjects ranging from bilateral trade in GHG emission credits to Carbon Footprint for products to monitoring of GHG emissions from operating facilities.  During the course of these consultations, EHS staff commented on several emerging issues in the area of Climate Change, see July 2007, May 2008 and June 2008 Newsletters on the What’s New page, http://www.ehstrategies.com/news.html.

EHS staff is familiar with various protocols and standards related to GHG emissions, including UN Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC); European Community GHG Protocols; US Greenhouse Gas Protocol standards and the ISO 14064 Standard that has been adopted by the Canadian Standards Association.

EHS qualified and trained staff is pleased to be able to offer its clients the following services:

  • Calculation of a Carbon Footprint for a Facility (Company) or a Product;

  •  Validation of actual or proposed reductions of GHG Emissions.
